Did you all watch the Oscars ceremony?
I must confess I thought that nearly everybody looked very elegant and well dressed at this years Oscar ceremony nothing too outrageous for a change, but I must say how come they all seemed to know not to dress over the top this year, it’ makes you wonder doesn’t it. There was lots of simple black gowns with hem lines down to the floor and quite a sprinkling of Asymmetrical cuts to neck lines
Angelina Jollie looked wonderful as usual but I wasn’t too sure that I would want to show off my tattoos dressed like that! and I thought Kate Winslet was wearing a nice outfit as well though it did limit what colours in jewellery that she could have worn.
Talking of colours I only saw one piece of multi coloured jewellery and that was on Amy Adams but what about Angelina Jollie’s earrings! Green or what!!, (I wonder if they were real Emeralds?)
I also noticed Heidi Klum was wearing a lot of Wristwear in fact wrist wear in general tended to be be quite large Bangles with lots of sparkle.
Jewellery in all this Year was predominantly White Gold or Platinum with Lots of sparkle provided by Diamonds and dress wise lots of simple Black evening wear opposed by Lots of White (Viennese) Ball gowns and not to forget the Fellas, Good Ole’ Mickey Rourke breaking the mould in his Jean Paul Gaultier white Tuxedo ( actually I thought he looked rather good in it as it was very well tailored to suit him) any way enough Oscar Blogging for now I’m sure it’s given us all food for thought on how to look good when we want to go out for a (Poshy) night (simply raid your mums wardrobe for an old Ball gown or your Dad’s for his 1950’s cut tuxedo!!)
